Search Trends Q2 2012

July 17, 2012 7:27 pm Published by

There are a number of interesting trends within paid searches over the last quarter. Google saw greater growth in impressions and clicks – due and to its large market, this growth did not translate into an increase in market share for Bing and Yahoo.

Google’s nearest competitor Bing still remains far behind Google, despite seeing continued growth. Bing grew its search market share to 15.6 percent, up from 15.4 percent in May and up from 14.4 percent a year ago.

Yahoo fell from 13.4 percent in May to 13 percent in June. Yahoo’s search share was at 15.9 percent last year – at the time good for second place behind Google.
